Mercator begins the drilling program for MacLeod’s NI 43-101 Reserve Report (December 1, 2006)
Mercator Geological Services has begun the drilling program necessary to advance its preliminary report on the marble deposit at River Denys. MacLeod Resources is keen to learn about the depth, quality, and colour variations along the strike length of its deposit. Mercator has been working with MacLeod for a number of years, to better understand the geology along the Georges River Group.
MacLeod Resources will be able to analyze the core samples of the drilling program and develop a plan for its quarrying operations over time. Also, the samples will play a vital role in the writing of a report that is compliant with National Instrument 43-101. Such a report is standard among mineral and mining companies relying on their reserves to raise capital, pursue a listing on the public stock markets, or otherwise value their companies.
Canada’s Marble shown at StonExpo in Las Vegas (November 15, 2006)
From November 9-11, MacLeod Resources attended the StonExpo trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Exhibitors from around the world descended upon Las Vegas to capitalize on the city’s high growth, its proximity to the west coast, and the attendees that StonExpo attracts from across the United States. Canada’s Marble was received exceptionally well and numerous opportunities to transact significant volumes of stone are being pursued.
StonExpo will be occurring on the east coast of the United States, in Atlanta, Georgia, in the early part of 2007. Much excitement began building around that show based on the success of the Las Vegas edition combined with the larger format of eastern edition, due to it being located in the centre of the marble industry in the United States. Atlanta, being another growing city, presents a good opportunity for MacLeod to grow its business in the southern States while exploring a new metropolis.
Management information system installed by Foresight Consulting (November 1, 2006)
MacLeod Resources is excited to announce that Foresight Consulting has completed the installation of a management information system at the company’s offices in River Denys, Cape Breton. High speed internet, software and hardware solutions, as well as management protocols were formulated and implemented over a two-month period with the help of Mr. Nick Kirton, Chief Financial Officer.
Through the information system, MacLeod Resources will gain a better understanding of its inventory, accounting, efficiency, and operational issues, at a speed better suited to the major cities with which the company does regular business. The relationship with Foresight Consulting has been developed quickly and with much satisfaction as both groups understand what is required to add value to MacLeod Resources.

Potential for 41 Million tonnes of Canada’s Marble assessed by Mercator (September 1, 2006)
Mercator Geological Services (Mercator) has submitted its preliminary assessment of the deposit owned by MacLeod Resources at River Denys, Nova Scotia. The mountain of marble has been estimated to contain approximately 41 Million tonnes of material, which surpasses previous estimates generated last year by the Province of Nova Scotia’s Department of Natural Resources.
Mercator has been commissioned to complete a drilling program along the strike of the deposit, to determine with greater certainty its size, type, and characteristics. MacLeod Resources will use this information to plan the growth of its quarry over time. It is known that many varieties of marble exist along the strike length, so the company is eagerly awaiting the results of the program, which should be ready by February 1st, 2007, in the form of a report consistent with the requirements of NI 43-101.
Celtic Marble & Granite the retail home of Canada’s Marble in Nova Scotia (August 1, 2006)
MacLeod Resources achieved another significant milestone with the opening of Celtic Marble & Granite in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As the retail home of Canada’s Marble in Atlantic Canada, Celtic will grow to serve the natural stone needs of a growing client base in Halifax and surrounding areas. The commercial and residential expansion of metro-Halifax promises to offer Celtic numerous opportunities to recommend Canada’s Marble for projects.
Celtic is owned and operated by Carl Trider, investor, director, and early partner of MacLeod Resources. Carl and his son, Jonathan, have committed to capitalizing on this under-served market, learning about the dimension stone industry on a global material-sourcing basis, as well as transferring much of knowledge gained to MacLeod for its own use in the marketing and sales of Canada’s Marble.

Montreal interior design show co-attended with Surface Design (April 15, 2006)
Canada’s Marble is being showcased alongside the stylish products of Surface Design at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal. MacLeod attracts interest at the Interior Design Show in Toronto (February 27, 2006)
MacLeod Resources enjoyed another positive experience showcasing Canada’s Marble at the Interior Design Show (IDS) in Toronto this week. The IDS show is well-known as being a diverse, modern, and educational arena for trade professionals to gain a better understanding of the materials and concepts available to them from around the world. Canada’s Marble benefits from the high visibility at a show like IDS because both the trade professionals and retail consumers have a chance to discover the exciting marble from Cape Breton.
IDS proved worthwhile from the perspective that the company was able to interact with new distributors, potential retail clients, architects, designers, as well as the media. Contacts from shows are taken back to River Denys, evaluated, and pursued throughout the year to generate interest and potential revenues. MacLeod Resources capitalized on the opportunity to display its products to show attendees, while also having numerous meetings with clients and contacts in and around the city of Toronto.
